Sorry for the absence. After a week long visit from three sweet, lovable “bugs” (grandchildren) I got caught by a “Nasty Bug” that turned me into a sniffling, coughing, zombified couch potato for a week.
It is hard to believe that October is almost over. I still have not seen the much coveted fall colors or experienced any Indian Summer weather but that has not stopped the Magick of October from arriving.
While the “bugs” were here I pulled the Halloween/Samhain tote from the closet and allowed the “bugs” to decorate the Cabin with scary ghost, spiders, witches, skeletons and other ghoulish “things.” The last witch had barely been placed when the “bugs” decided to turn the decorations into toys. It was so much fun to watch and listen as the decorations came to life in their hands and imaginations. I love seeing them with something other than a game controller in their hands. And they wonder why mamaw doesn’t have video games at the Cabin.
Needless to say the Cabin was filled with over flowing energy, love, imagination, activities, sugary snacks and Magick while the bugs were here. I loved every minute!
With the “good bugs” gone and just a day to spare before the “Nasty Bug” declared war on me I was able to host a baby shower to welcome our sixth grandchild (third grandson). My first born (son) is getting his own son. Not exactly sure how his daughter is going to feel about sharing her dada. I forgot how much fun it was to plan and host something other than a work related event. The new addition will arrive as the Wheel turns into the New Year.
With Halloween/Samhain just nine days away it is time to pull out the cauldron and brew up some ghoulish looks, treats and spells.
